Dr. Jiser received his medical degree from the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed his residency in general surgery at New York Medical College/Soundshore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York. He is board certified in Surgery and a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. His other professional memberships include the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the New England Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Boston Surgical Society.

Dr. Jiser has been practicing surgery for over 20 years, mostly in the Greater Lowell area.  He is well known for always being at the cutting edge in minimally invasive surgical techniques, often training surgeons in the region in the latest laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedures.  He has transformed the lives of hundreds of patients, more than any other doctor in the Merrimack Valley, through weight loss surgery, including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy.

Dr. Jiser enjoys playing golf, the outdoors, and spending time with his children in his spare time.
