Many insurances require a referral in order to see a surgeon. If your insurance requires you to obtain a referral, please request one from your primary care physician before your appointment with us. If you are unsure if your insurance requires a referral, you will need to call your insurance company to find out.

Laparoscopy, also known as minimally invasive surgery, is a type of surgical procedure in which a small incision is made in the body through which a viewing tube (laparoscope) is inserted. The viewing tube has a small camera on one end which allows the doctor to examine the inside of the body on a video monitor connected to the tube. Other small incisions can be made to insert instruments to perform procedures. Laparoscopy can be done to diagnose conditions or to perform certain surgeries.
